How we choose the examples.
We select ads to study the creative structure: how a product is shown, how the message is organized and what can be adapted into a new brief.
A selection, not a performance ranking.
The industry and format guides contain explicit selections from the Bassline reference catalog. We group image variations, check the selected artwork and look for a range of advertisers and creative approaches. The broader catalog includes machine-assisted classifications; the guide selections receive an additional editorial check.
Our English-language guides use examples classified as English and checked in the artwork. Language and category labels elsewhere in the full catalog can be uncertain or incorrect.
Source facts and creative notes.
Advertiser names, source records and capture dates come from the catalog. Capture dates describe when the reference was collected, not when the image was created or last ran. Source links can change or become unavailable.
Our breakdowns are Bassline’s interpretation of the composition and message. We do not have verified spend, conversions or return on ad spend for these examples. An ad’s age, appearance in the library or inclusion in a guide is not proof that it performed well.
What a creative recipe contains.
A recipe describes the reusable layout and direction. It prompts you to add your brand profile, exact product details, audience, brief and talking points. It is a starting point for a new creative, not a tested performance template.
Use your own copy and owned or licensed images. Keep claims tied to evidence for your product. Customer quotes, ratings and endorsements need their own support and permissions; they do not transfer from the reference.
Attribution and review.
Original ads belong to their respective advertisers. Inclusion does not imply an endorsement of Bassline or a partnership. Each example links to the available source record. The creative notes and recipe are Bassline’s original analysis.
The pilot guides were selected and reviewed by Bassline Labs on October 23, 2026. We update the review date when the selection or analysis changes.
